December, 2005 - The Ashburn Inline Hockey 17U Inferno travel team won the Susquehanna, PA Sports Center's 4th Annual Regional Christmas Bash on Friday Dec 16th.

November, 2005 - Ashburn Inline Hockey would like to extend a big THANK YOU! to Kathy Riley for donating this huge banner to the league which hangs proudly below our scoreboard and the opening day flag.

October, 2005 - The Ashburn Inline Hockey 8U Inferno travel team won the ECHO Tournament in Sewell, PA.

July, 2005 - Ashburn Inline Hockey hosts a USA Hockey Inline player development camp designed to enhance the skill level of all players. These player development camps focus on skill development and preparation for future participation in USA Hockey Inline national programs. Players received position-specific instruction and a full camp evaluation of their performance from USA Hockey Inline coaches. Since the program’s inception USA Hockey Inline has become the leader in the development of inline hockey programs worldwide due to the success of programs such as this.

July, 2005 - The Ashburn Inferno 18U travel team wins the 1^st annual Battle @ the Plex at the Winchester Sportsplex. In addition to medals and a trophy the team received a certificate for one free entry to any future Winchester Sportsplex In-line Hockey Tournament.

June, 2005 - Ashburn Inline Hockey hosts a USA Hockey Inline Regional Tournament at the Dulles Sportsplex. Travel teams from around the area - Richmond Rattlers, Fredrick Vipers, PWHC Panthers, and our own Mad Dogs and Infernos spent 3 days of non-stop games. Many thanks to the referees, scorekeepers, and Sportsplex staff who helped keep everything going. And especially Jay Milton from USA Hockey (pictured taking a well deserved break with the some Redskin Cheerleaders) who ran the entire tournament from start to finish.

March, 2005 - Ashburn Inline Hockey hosts a USA Hockey Inline Level 1 & Level 2 Coaches clinic combined with a Players clinic. Nearly 30 coaches attended the weekend clinics and 30 players participated in the on-surface demonstrations on Sunday morning. The coaches came from as close as nearby Ashburn to as far as South Carolina. Larry Wheatley, Northeast Zone Coach-in-Chief, Jeremy Boore, Maryland State Coach-in-Chief and Aaron Kriss, USA Hockey InLine Coordinator, Coaching and Player Development, instructed the clinics. The coaches were assembled into two small workshop groups where topics such as communication, leadership, coaching roles, lesson planning and coaching code of conduct were discussed. The on-surface portion included topics ranging from defensive and offensive zone coverage to face-offs and goaltending.
